The Institute of Air and Space Law combines professional education with the practice of regulated aviation.

We prepare professionals who will understand the legal and safety aspects of ICAO, EASA, and FAA – from personnel licensing through cybersecurity to the regulation of drones and space activities.

Our Goals

The Institute of Air and Space Law at Pan-European University was established in 2025 with the aim of providing education in the field of air and space law, developing science and research in this field, providing advisory and consulting services, and cooperating with expert and professional institutions, organizations, and companies in the field of air and space law in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The Institute operates in the following basic sections:

Currently, the institute provides education at PEUNI in the field of aviation law, its legal and regulatory systems ICAO, EASA, FAA, and the Czech and Slovak Republics, focusing on commercial and non-commercial air transport, unmanned aerial systems, aviation cyber security, quality and standardization of aviation personnel licensing, and other areas of aviation law.

Space LAW

In the field of space law, the Institute focuses on developing its activities in education and awareness, creating conditions and foundations, and building a professional community that will participate in creating a national legal and regulatory system in the field of space law with the possibility of supporting state and business activities.

Our vision is to be a leader in the Czech and Slovak market in the field of education through the introduction of new and innovative university aviation education programs aimed at preparing graduates for integration into the global aviation industry with a focus on safety, quality, sustainability, and profitability.

The mission of the Institute of Aviation and Space Law of the Pan-European University is to educate professional pilots, technicians, and managers in aviation with professional knowledge and competencies in aviation and space law that are essential for maintaining safety, quality, and profitability in national and global aviation.

The Institute of Aviation and Space Law fulfills this mission through innovative and highly standardized curricula and methods combined with practice, aimed at equipping students with the necessary competencies and skills for integration into the aviation industry in accordance with the development of global aviation.
